Make a Donation Today

From its beginning in 1976, many dedicated people have invested themselves and their resources in the mission of Wilderness Trek. Wilderness Trek Christian Camp, Inc. is a 501-c3 non-profit corporation administered by a board of directors. Over the past five years more than 8,000 young people and adults from all over the U.S. have participated in Wilderness Trek's programs. More than 1,000 of these young people have been from low-income households and have participated through the Wilderness Trek Scholarship Program.

Stewardship

Wilderness Trek Christian Camp strives to be a good steward of its investments.

We use the term "investment" because we realize that our donors are not interested in simple charity: they want a return on their donation. By strenghtening the young people we touch our donors want churches, communities, and cities to become stronger, more supportive, just, and equitable. They realize that market forces may not bring that about, and so they have decided to support an organization that can help them to achieve their goals.

At heart, they are investing in our ability to focus God's power on social change. We, as stewards of their funds, are obligated to spend their money in ways that will most effectively bring about that change, and to report the return on our donors' investments. For that reason, we support the Donor Bill of Rights (see below).

Donor Bill of Rights
